  1. Verify your military status with an ID.me account before or at the dealership.
  2. Choose your new Toyota and arrange the purchase or lease through the dealer and Toyota Financial Services: the rebate rides on a TFS contract.
  3. On a finance contract, the $500 is applied toward your down payment; on a lease, toward the amount due at signing or the capitalized cost reduction.
  4. Confirm the current terms on Toyota's military rebate page before you go in.

Key exclusions & notes

  • The rebate requires financing or leasing through Toyota Financial Services: a cash purchase does not qualify under the program terms
  • Veterans qualify within two years of their discharge date; retirees and active members are not subject to that window
  • The rebate is applied inside the contract (down payment or lease signing amounts), not as a price cut off MSRP
  • Combinability with other Toyota offers is controlled by Toyota's current program terms: confirm at the source link above

Frequently asked questions

I separated from the military three years ago. Do I qualify?
Not under the current terms: the veteran window is two years from the discharge date. Retirees and inactive reservists qualify without a time window.

Do military spouses and family members qualify on their own?
Yes. Spouses, surviving spouses, and dependents of eligible U.S. military personnel, including Gold Star family members, are listed as eligible on Toyota's program page.

Can I get the rebate if I pay cash?
The program applies to purchases and leases through a dealer and Toyota Financial Services, so a cash deal does not carry the rebate. Ask the dealer what your options are.
