Welcome to StandWatch. These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and StandWatch LLC ("StandWatch," "we," "us") governing your use of standwatch.co and related pages (the "Site"). By using the Site or setting a watch, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. What StandWatch does
StandWatch is a free, veteran-focused comparison and rate-monitoring service. We compare numbers you enter against public market averages and tracked partner offers, give you an informational read of where you stand, and — if you set a watch — notify you when there may be a chance to save. We are not a lender, broker, bank, insurer, or financial or legal advisor, and nothing on the Site is financial, legal, tax, or insurance advice. We do not take applications, make credit or coverage decisions, or handle money.
No guarantee of rates, savings, or outcomes
All rates, premiums, APYs, payments, savings figures, and estimates shown are illustrative and informational only. They are not offers, quotes, or commitments, and they do not guarantee the rate, price, or terms you will personally qualify for. Actual offers depend on your individual circumstances, creditworthiness, the partner's underwriting, and other factors, and are determined solely by the partner on the partner's own site. Market data may be delayed, estimated, or labeled as sample data. You are responsible for verifying any figure before acting on it.
Partner links and how we're paid
StandWatch is supported by partner advertising. For most product categories this is a flat fee or commission associated with a partner link. We keep editorial control: compensation may affect which eligible partners we are able to display, but it never changes your Watch calculation, your target, or whether an offer is shown as meeting that target — and a partner cannot pay to alter a calculation, satisfy a target it does not meet, or receive a more favorable description. We display a partner offer only when its tracked offer meets the target established by your Watch. Partner products and websites are operated by the partners, not by us. We are not responsible for partners' products, services, terms, or conduct, and your dealings with a partner are solely between you and that partner.
Mortgage and refinance offers are treated differently. StandWatch does not originate loans, take applications, set rates, or issue approvals, and does not receive — and will not accept — any fee, kickback, or thing of value in exchange for referring you to a mortgage lender or for steering you to one lender over another. Mortgage advertising relationships are structured separately from ordinary affiliate arrangements: StandWatch does not intend to accept compensation contingent on referrals, applications, approvals, loan amounts, or closed loans. Mortgage-provider agreements and placement practices are subject to separate legal and compliance review.
Setting a watch; communications
When you set a watch, you ask us to send you two kinds of watch email: an alert when your target is met, and one monthly Watch status update (SITREP) while your watch remains active. Cancel your watch at any time and both stop. You also confirm the information you provided is accurate. Email is required so we can reliably operate your watch. (Text alerts may be offered in the future; if and when they are, they will require their own separate opt-in and consent.) If you separately opt in to education & benefits updates, you can unsubscribe at any time without affecting your watch emails.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and not to: submit false information or someone else's information without permission; interfere with or attempt to disrupt the Site; scrape, copy, or resell our content or data; or use the Site to violate any law. We may suspend or remove access for misuse.
Intellectual property
The StandWatch name, logo, "Standing Watch for Those Who Served," the Watch product names, and the Site's content and design are owned by StandWatch LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not use them without our written permission.
Disclaimers
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any figure or estimate is accurate or current.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, StandWatch and its owner will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, or for any lost savings, lost opportunity, or financial decisions you make based on the Site. Because StandWatch is free to you, our total liability for any claim relating to the Site will not exceed one hundred dollars ($100).
Indemnification
You agree to hold StandWatch harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Site or violation of these Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms here with a new date, and your continued use means you accept them.
