Who we reach
StandWatch serves the full military community: active-duty service members, National Guard and Reserve, retirees, separated service members, veterans, and their families. Our content is built around the money decisions that community actually faces, from VA mortgage refinancing to PCS moves to everyday discounts. Members arrive by searching for answers (guides built for the questions this community actually types), and they stay because nothing here sells their information or pushes a product.
What StandWatch is
One free network of tools and resources:
- A full library of easy-to-understand money guides covering the military financial life: VA loans and home buying, car buying and auto loans, insurance, savings and investing basics, debt and credit, the GI Bill, spouse employment, job search, deployment, PCS, separation, retirement, and aging and long-term care. Every fact checked against primary sources and dated.
- Ask StandWatch, an AI answer tool that responds to member money questions using only our own published pages, with sources linked. It stores no questions and recommends no products.
- The Readiness Compass, a 2-minute check that routes members to the right guides and resources by life situation.
- Watches that track a bill against public benchmarks and tracked partner offers, then alert the member when a target is met (VA mortgage, savings, auto, insurance, solar, phone and internet).
- A verified Veteran Discounts directory of 270+ offers across 14 categories, each linked to the provider's official page.
- A Money Resources directory of official government and nonprofit programs. Listings there are never for sale.
- A monthly update that members opt into for new discounts, updated guides, and rate-watch notes.
What partners can do
- Flat-fee advertising and category sponsorships, clearly labeled as advertising.
- Placement in the monthly update, clearly labeled.
- Clearly disclosed affiliate links, with the disclosure shown next to the link, not buried in a footer.
- Your directory listing enhanced with a disclosed affiliate link. To be clear about the order of operations: directory inclusion and at-source verification can never be purchased. Eligible offers are listed editorially when they meet the directory standards, partner or not. Partnership adds the disclosed affiliate relationship and clearly labeled sponsorship placements; it never changes inclusion, verification, placement, or wording. Directory listings are part of the same published content Ask StandWatch reads when answering member questions; every listing is treated identically there.
What partners cannot buy
These are not for sale at any price, because they are what keeps StandWatch trustworthy for the members we serve:
- Rankings, placement order, or a higher position in any list or Watch result.
- Placement, weighting, or favorable mention in Ask StandWatch answers. The tool reads our published pages equally and cannot be paid to favor anyone.
- Favorable editorial coverage, softened descriptions, or changed review outcomes.
- Any change to a Watch calculation, benchmark, target, or qualification result.
- Member contact information sold or handed over as leads.
- Mortgage referrals paid per lead, per application, per closing, or by loan amount.
Editorial independence: how a partner is paid never changes what the numbers show or how a category is described. This is stated in our Trust Center and applied on every page.

Where each category stands today and the terms it works under. StandWatch is early-stage and building its partner roster, so most categories are open to conversations now.

Mortgage policy
StandWatch does not take mortgage applications, does not steer members to one lender over another, and does not accept any fee, kickback, or thing of value for referring a member to a mortgage lender. Mortgage participation is limited to flat-fee advertising, and any mortgage-provider agreement is subject to separate legal and compliance review before it goes live. This keeps the platform clear of the referral-fee prohibitions that apply to federally related mortgages.
Insurance policy
StandWatch is not an insurer, agent, or broker. Insurance Watch provides context and education only. It does not quote, sell, bind, place, or recommend coverage, and it will stay in that lane unless and until a licensed partner structure has been reviewed for compliance.
Data and lead policy
StandWatch does not sell member contact information, and does not hand it to lenders, insurers, installers, or lead brokers as leads. Members reach out to providers themselves through clearly labeled links. This is a core commitment, not a negotiable term.
