What Insurance Watch watches
Insurance Watch is for veterans who suspect their premium crept up at renewal and want to know whether that's the whole market or just their carrier. You enter your monthly premium and coverage type. We frame it against market movement (using public BLS insurance data) and, when a verified partner is available, alert you when it may be worth comparing identical coverage.
Insurance Watch is in beta: the form is live and we're recruiting a verified insurance partner. There's no insurance partner listed yet, so today it's a context-and-education tool, not a quote engine.
Coverage & how it works
| Status | Beta. Form is live; recruiting a verified insurance partner (none listed yet). |
| What it monitors | Market direction using public insurance price data; your own premium in context. |
| Data sources | U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics motor-vehicle-insurance CPI and public references. Partner offers added once a verified partner signs. |
| Coverage | Educational/context nationwide. Partner referrals only once a verified partner is signed. |
| Credit pull | None. |
| Cost to you | Free. |
Straight talk: we monitor selected public benchmarks and participating partner offers — not every provider or every offer in the market. When a tracked option meets the target you set, we alert you. If nothing beats your number, we tell you to hold.
What a result looks like
An anonymized example of the read you'd get:
Your premium now: $180/mo (+20%)
Market trend (BLS): auto insurance prices roughly flat year over year (illustrative example)
StandWatch read: WORTH RE-SHOPPING — your increase outpaced the market
Next step: compare identical coverage across carriers; check military discounts
Illustrative only. Not a quote or an offer. Your actual numbers depend on your situation and the provider.
Questions
Can StandWatch give me an insurance quote?
No. Real premiums depend on your driver profile, vehicle, property, credit, and state — only a carrier can quote you. We put your premium in market context and tell you when it's worth re-shopping.
Is there an insurance partner I'll be sent to?
Not yet — Insurance Watch is in beta and we're recruiting a verified partner. For now it's a context and education tool.
How much do military insurance discounts save?
It varies by insurer, state, and eligibility — some carriers advertise military-related discounts or storage savings, but the biggest saver is usually comparing several carriers on identical coverage. The guide covers how.
Do you sell my information?
No. We don't sell your data or hand it to carriers as leads.
