Out-the-Door Price & Loan Worksheet

Dealers steer you toward the monthly payment because it hides everything else. This worksheet forces the deal back into the open: the real out-the-door price, any negative equity rolled in, what each add-on actually costs, and whether your financing is even final. Fill it in before you sign anything.

Your data stays on your device. Nothing you type here is sent to StandWatch or anyone else. This is just a printable form — fill it in, print or save the PDF, and it's yours.

Out-the-door price (build it up, line by line)

Make the dealer itemize. Compare the OUT-THE-DOOR total across dealers — never the monthly payment.

Negative equity warning: if your trade-in payoff is more than its value, that gap gets rolled into the new loan — you're financing the old car on top of the new one. Write that number down and look at it before you agree to anything.
Embedded add-on cost: for each add-on, ask the cash price vs. the financed price. Financing a $1,500 add-on over 72 months at a high APR can cost far more. Add-ons are optional and negotiable — they are never free.

Is the financing final? — checklist

Yo-yo financing is real: you drive off, then get called back to sign worse terms. Confirm these before you leave.
