StandWatch data: the rate feeds, documented

Two JSON files power every rate on this site. They are public, free to cite, and updated by the same job that updates the pages. This page says what is in them, where each number comes from, and how to credit it.

21published series in latest.json, each with its source link and as-of date
The short answer: latest.json is the current reading of every series we track, with its as-of date, unit, cadence, and the primary source it was read from. rates-history.json is 5 years of daily and weekly points for the headline series. Both are published figures from FRED, Freddie Mac, Optimal Blue, the FDIC, and the Federal Reserve, not StandWatch estimates. Cite them as "StandWatch (standwatch.co), from <source>, as of <date>".

latest.json: every series, one reading

Shape: {"generated_at_utc", "entries": {key: {name, value, unit, as_of, source_url, cadence, prev_value, prev_as_of}}}. The keys are stable; new series are added, never renamed.
